Top Brunch Spots in Leicestershire for Tasty Walks & Weekend Feasting

One of my favourite things to do is explore on a lovely countryside walk, followed by something super tasty to eat — and brunch fits this winning combination perfectly! There’s just something magical about a mid-morning meal with friends, family, or your four-legged companion after breathing in that fresh Leicestershire air.

Fun fact! The word “brunch” was apparently coined by British writer Guy Beringer in 1895 in Hunter’s Weekly. He wrote “Brunch: A Plea”, suggesting a late Sunday breakfast would brighten the lives of Saturday-night carousers. Even though I rarely wake up with a hangover these days, brunch remains my favourite meal of the week!

So if you’re visiting Mallory Meadows or exploring the local area, here are our top places to brunch in Leicestershire  — paired with peaceful walks, local charm, and plenty of delicious flavours.
