Q: What will I find in the kitchenette?

A: All pots, pans and equipment to create most simple meals. Jenny Wren & Robin’s Retreat have hob and combi oven, Hare & Squirrel have microwave, hob and single oven, Badger and Hedgehog have hob and mini oven. All have fridges.

Q: Are the lodges heated?

A: Yes! Customers comment on how cosy they are. All have great heating and are well insulated, Jenny Wren and Robin’s Retreat have underfloor heating.

Q:Are towels and bedding included?

A: Absolutely!  We make up all the beds prior to your arrival with lovely crisp white linen, we provide one hand towel, one shower towel and a hot tub towel per person per stay. If there are children on your booking or you require the sofa bed, the linen pack (additional charges apply) consisting of towels and bedding will be automatically added to your booking and the sofa bed prepared for use.

A: Yes, pets are very welcome and we can accommodate 1 dog (any size) or 2 dogs up to 17kg each (additional charges apply). Our pet friendly cabins are Squirrel and Hare, they have a fenced outside area so you can relax while your dog is enclosed.

You have access to many local walks straight from your door, we would be very happy to point you in the right direction, or take a look at our chatter in the meadows.

Within a short drive you can discover many Leicestershire highlights to enjoy with your pet.

We politely ask that you do not leave your dog or other pets unattended during your stay and that they are not encouraged to jump on the sofa or bed.

Q: Do you allow BBQ’s?

A: We have BBQ’s available to hire on site. We can provide the grill, 2 x packs of easy light/ low smoke charcoal, all the utensils and a grill cleaning service at the end of your stay for £15. We politely request that you do not use your own BBQ or fuel please.

Q: Are you close to Mallory Park Racing Circuit?

A: Honestly, the majority of the time it is very peaceful and quiet in Kirkby Mallory. However we are a couple of fields away from the circuit so depending on the event and which way the wind is blowing you may hear the bikes or cars when an event is on. We always recommend that you check the racing diary for any events that you may wish to attend or which you may feel would disturb your holiday. In general, when an event is on it starts around 9.30am and ends around 5pm, the evenings are always quiet. There are many weekends during the year that have no events on at the track.

They also offer track days and the racing car experience track days. We did one a couple of years ago and it was fantastic.

Q: How do you manage the hot tubs? 

A: Our hot tubs are filled with warm fresh water before your arrival and sanitised using bromine to ensure safe bathing. Chris and I are BISHTA trained and very experienced in hot tub management.  We test them each day of your stay and adjust sanitiser levels as required.  We always ask that you follow the safe bathing regulations that you will find in your lodge upon arrival.

Q: Can I charge my Electric Vehicle (EV)? 

A: Yes we have a twin socket 7kW Rolec charger which can be pre-booked to use during your stay (additional charges apply). We do no permit the use of three pin 13 Amp chargers on site at this time.

Q: What facilities are provided for customers with disabilities? 

A: All our cabins have a number of steps to access them, and we do not have any specially adapted rooms. Please take this into consideration when booking.
