A long held dream
Mallory Meadows is the result of a dream we had many years ago. Chris and I met while working through our student days at a local restaurant, and married in 1999.
We now have 3 children and a dog called Floss. We both grew up in the local area and after exploring all round the country for somewhere to realise our glamping dream, we concluded that our corner of Leicestershire had a lot to offer guests and was the ideal spot after all!
So it began…
In 2016, we purchased Keepers Cottage with my Mum, and set about creating what you see today. Keepers Cottage was once the gamekeepers cottage for the Mallory Park Estate that was on the site that is now the iconic racing circuit.
Located next to the village church and surrounded by mature trees with owls, badgers and native wildlife that is a joy to watch. Our site is rural and quiet but within a 10 minute drive you have quaint villages and towns to explore, the battle of Bosworth site, Twycross Zoo, Bradgate Park and the vibrant city of Leicester.
All Saints is the beautiful little parish church dating back to the 13th Century. In the churchyard is a memorial to Ada Lovelace (Mathematical Ada), Lord Byron’s daughter, who helped to design the first computer.
Mallory Meadows opened it’s doors in January 2018 and we added our new stylish roundhouses in 2019.
Our Roundhouses were developed with help and support of the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
