Bosworth Battlefield is a recommended historical trip, the visitors centre is very informative and the locality is a nice walk.

Bradgate Park

This ancient parkland has lots of geological interest, a herd of red and fallow deer, and was the home of Lady Jane Grey, Queen of England for 9 days back in the Tudor times. There is a coffee shop and a visitor’s center in the park, and restaurants in Newtown Linford that are highly regarded in the area.
