Giving Back In 2023 – 2nd Quarter Update.
Can you believe we’re on the brink of September? Amidst our whirlwind of activities, I completely forgot to bring you up to speed on the progress of our ‘Giving Back’ initiative this year! Back in January 2023, we celebrated Mallory Meadows‘s 5th birthday. In the spirit of making a meaningful impact, Chris and Emily-Jane resolved to weave a thread of positivity throughout the year by giving back.
Chris and Emily-Jane crafted a list and subsequently handpicked a charitable cause to receive a £5 donation for each stay throughout the corresponding month. The beneficiaries of our generosity during the initial three months can be discovered here while the charitable endeavors of the second quarter are detailed below. Thank you to all those who choose to spend their cherished moments at Mallory Meadows. Thanks to you we’ve managed to donate a staggering £950 toward these fantastic causes so far!

Our chosen charity for the month of April was One Roof Leicester. A local organisation dedicated to providing accommodation and support to individuals experiencing homelessness, destitute refugees, asylum seekers, and vunerably housed people within the bounds of Leicester.
We are proud that we were able to contributed £150 to this charitable endeavor.

In alignment with Mental Health Week from May 15th to 21st, 2023, we elected to support Young Minds for the month of May. This invaluable organisation offers reassurance, tips, and guidance to children and young individuals, nurturing their capacity to make affirmative choices for their mental well-being. They also extend their aid to parents, caregivers, and youth workers, offering online guidance, information, and a Helpline service for those concerned about a child’s mental health.
We’re very proud to have been able to contribute £190 to Young Minds.

June
June saw us directing our support towards the Leicestershire & Rutland Motor Neurone Disease Association. This remarkable charity, operating solely through volunteers and charitable contributions. Their focus centres on enhancing access to care, advancing research, and advocating for individuals living with or impacted by motor neurone disease.
We were thrilled to have been able to donate to this great charity £195.
