Mallories Pantry is a lovely new addition to the village — a friendly, well‑stocked farm shop selling local produce and offering fresh fruit and veg, local eggs, baked goods, deli treats, and hampers.  It’s foodies’ heaven and perfect for a gentle wander from your lodge, and they also serve takeaway drinks and food, ideal for enjoying as you stroll around the village (check out our Village Walk route here) or for bringing back to your cabin for a relaxed bite. The Sparkenhoe Cheese Shop & Tea Room is a real local treasure, home to the award‑winning Leicestershire Handmade Cheese Co. — the only producer of traditional, raw‑milk Red Leicester in the UK. Brockleby’s is a much‑loved local pie maker, famous for handmade pies using local ingredients and traditional recipes. You can visit their main shop at Asfordby Hill to pick up fresh or frozen pies. Leedham Farm Dairy – Lindridge Lane, Desford, LE9 9FD

Leedham Farm Dairy is a fourth‑generation family farm offering some of the freshest, non‑homogenised milk in Leicestershire.  Their milk often reaching their vending machine just hours after milking. Their Milk Cabin is open daily from 7am to 7pm and features a self‑serve raw‑milk style vending machine. Refillable glass bottles are available to purchase, and a fun milkshake bar with rotating flavours. Hinckley Food Festival

Feast Hinckley is the town’s biggest annual food festival, held each summer in Argents Mead. It offers a lively, family‑friendly weekend of street food, live music, and entertainment. In 2026, the festival runs from 1–2 August, with free entry and opening hours from 10am to 5pm each day. The Leicester City Food and Music Festival returns to Abbey Park on 8–9 August 2026. Bringing a vibrant weekend of street food, live music, family entertainment, and more than 80 Midlands Makers stalls.
